TAKE NOTICE that the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board has received four applications from Shawn and Richelle Frey to create four new lots to be sold for residential development. Currently there is a cabin on the subject lands that is to be demolished. The first proposed lot (B2024-01) has a lot area of ± 3.5 ha, with a lot frontage of ± 140 metres along Highway 652, and a depth of ± 250 metres. The remaining three proposed lots (B2024-02; B2024-03; B2024-04) will each have a lot area of ± 2.25 ha, a frontage of ± 90 metres each onto Highway 652, and a depth of ± 250 metres each. The proposed retained lot will be used for agricultural use. The proposed retained lot has an area of ± 49 ha, with a lot frontage of ± 90 metres onto Highway 652, and a depth of ± 1,188 metres.
TAKE NOTICE that the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing to consider the above-noted applications on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, at 7:00 PM at Fire Hall (23 Fifth Street, Cochrane, ON), in accordance with Section 53 of the Planning Act R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended.
YOU ARE ENTITLED TO ATTEND the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board’s Public Hearing concerning this application.  If you have specific comments regarding this application, you may submit a letter to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board at the address shown below, and such written submissions shall be available for inspection by any interested person. IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND this Hearing, it may proceed in your absence and, except as otherwise provided in the Planning Act, you will not be entitled to any further notice in the proceeding.

IF YOU WISH TO BE NOTIFIED of the Decision of the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board in respect of the proposed consent, you must make a written request to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Approval Authority at the address shown below. 

APPEALS: Only the applicant, the Minister, a specified person (being a utility and transportation company) or a public body may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT). If a specified person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board in respect of the proposed consent does not make written submissions to the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board before it gives, or refuses to give, a provisional Consent, the Ontario Land Tribunal may dismiss the appeal.
