Take Notice that an application to the Committee of Adjustment has been submitted for a minor variance to the Town of Cochrane Zoning By-law 968-2013, as amended, pursuant to Section 45 of the Planning Act, c.P. 13, R.S.O. 1990 as amended for lands legally described as Lot 4, PT PCL 6348, PT Lot 9, Con 5 Geographic Township of Leitch; municipally known as 119 Silver Queen Lake Road, Cochrane.
The purpose and effect of the application is to permit the construction of a seasonal dwelling (cottage) on the subject lands with a reduced interior side and rear yard setback requirements as described below:

The Committee of Adjustment for the Town of Cochrane will consider this application on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., local time, at Fire Hall, 23 Fifth Street, Cochrane, Ontario.
YOU ARE ENTITLED TO ATTEND the Committee of Adjustment’s Public Hearing concerning this application. If you have specific comments regarding this application, you may submit a letter to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Committee of Adjustment at the address shown below, and such written submissions shall be available for inspection by any interested person. IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND this Hearing, it may proceed in your absence and, except as otherwise provided in the Planning Act, you will not be entitled to any further notice in the proceeding.
IF YOU WISH TO BE NOTIFIED of the Decision of the Committee of Adjustment in respect of the proposed minor variance, you must make a written request to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Approval Authority at the address shown below.
If you do not participate in the hearing or request notification of the Committee’s decision, it may proceed in your absence and, except as otherwise provided in the Planning Act and you will not be entitled to any further notice of the proceedings.
APPEALS: Only the applicant, the Minister, a specified person (being a utility and transportation company) or a public body may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT). If a specified person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Committee of Adjustment in respect of the proposed minor variance does not make written submissions to the Committee of Adjustment before it gives, or refuses to give, a provisional variance, the Ontario Land Tribunal may dismiss the appeal.
