The Town of Cochrane is seeking public input from our residents, employees, visitors and local businesses on how we can improve accessibility in Cochrane. Your valuable input will help with identifying, removing, and preventing barriers for residents, employees and visitors at the Town of Cochrane and help shape Cochrane’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan 2024-2029
Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), standards were developed in five areas. We are asking input on each of the standards and what you would like to see improved in terms of accessibility in these areas:
What is the Town doing well? What barriers do you face? What can be done to improve accessibility?
Share your thoughts on the Accessibility in Cochrane by taking our survey on Let’s Chat Cochrane. The survey will close on Friday, September 27, 2024.
The draft Town of Cochrane Multi-Year Accessibility Plan 2024-2029 is a road map that describes how we will continue to prevent and remove accessibility barriers to Town services and in our facilities.
