October 20, 2023 – Infrastructure Services is notifying residents that the lime system at the Water Treatment Plant will be down for maintenance from October 20th to October 26th.  Maintenance to the lime system at the Water Treatment Plant could affect the hardness of the water. As a result, customers will be receiving water which is harder than the water you usually receive. This does not effect the quality of the water, the water is safe for consumption.

Hard water is caused by naturally occurring minerals and does not pose a health risk; however, it can cause spots on glasses and fixtures. You can minimize spotting by hand washing dishes or towel drying them immediately after the dishwasher rinse cycle. If you already have spots on your glasses, soak them in white vinegar for 5 to 10 minutes.
