Take Notice that an application has been submitted to the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board
for a Provisional Consent to Sever pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, c.P.13, R.S.O. 1990 as
amended for lands legally described as GLACKMEYER CON 5 PT LOT 16 PCL 1480 LG &
GLACKMEYER CON 5 PT LOT 16 RP 6R2553 PART 1 PCL 3430LG, within the Town of Cochrane,
Roll No. 563902000120200 & 563902000120201.
The purpose and effect of the application is to is to obtain approval to sever 37.27 hectares (92.1
acres) from 1267 Concession 4&5 to be added as a lot addition to 1249 Concession 4&5. The
effect(s) of the application would be for the existing lot area of 1249 Concession 4&5 which currently
is approximately 1 ha to increase to approximately 38.08 hectares (94.1 acres) with the transfer for
1267 Concession 4&5, the resulting lot area for 1267 Concession 4&5 would be approximately 2 ha.
It should be noted that no new lots are proposed to be created as a result of this application, rather
37.27 ha (92.1 acres) is being severed from 1267 Concession 4&5 and as such is being added as a
lot addition to 1249 Concession 4&5.
Location: Both properties are located within the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Area. Please see
key map for reference.
Prior to making a decision, the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing to
hear the views of the Public on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., local time, at Town Hall,
171 Fourth Avenue, Cochrane, Ontario. If you wish to participate in the public hearing, please email
elisabeth.vachon@cochraneonatrio.com or call 705-272-4361 x 239 by Monday, June 8th, 2026.
Leave your name and phone number, as well as the application number or address of the property
you are calling about. Staff will return your call/email and provide participation options and details, if
you wish to participate electronically.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board in respect of
the proposed consent, you must make a written request to the Board at the address noted below.
If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Cochrane and Suburban Planning
Board in respect of the proposed consent does not make written submission to the Cochrane and
Suburban Planning Board before it gives or refuses to give a provisional consent, the Ontario Land
Tribunal may dismiss the appeal.
