Each spring, streets are swept to remove winter sand and debris build-up.  This usually starts in late April continuing into the months of May and June. Minimum water is used during street sweeping to reduce airborne dust.

Sweeping operations take several weeks to complete.  Weather conditions and mechanical issues play a major role in how quickly Infrastructure Service department can finish street sweeping.  Heavy rain and subzero temperatures will halt operations.

Please be mindful not to park in the streets during this operation.

The Downtown Core will be completed on May 9^th & 10^th, 2023.
The streets included in the Downtown Core are shown in the map below. The area is between Railway Street and 4^th Street, between 3^rd Avenue and 7^th Avenue.
