At this Tuesday’s regular Council meeting, Council will pass a bylaw appointing Kaela Girard as Deputy Treasurer. Kaela was a key team member in the Treasury Department in the past and is looking forward to returning to her roots with the Town.

“I look forward to working with Kaela for years to come under what I am calling a mutually beneficial do-over” noted CAO and Interim Treasurer Daniel Gagnon.

A hometown product, Kaela will lend her financial experience and software skills to the team, just in time to help with the 2025 audit and the Asset Management Plan implementation.

Kaela notes “I’m very excited to be returning to the Town of Cochrane. I’m grateful for the opportunity to come back, bring some new experience and perspective with me and continue contributing to a community I’m proud to call home”.

 She begins her second tenure with the Town on August 31, 2026.
