Proclamation of Seniors Month June 2026.  

WHEREAS senior have made and continue to make significant contributions to the social, cultural, economic, and civic life of the community;

AND WHEREAS the Town of Cochrane recognizes the importance of supporting the dignity, independence, well-being, and inclusion of seniors within the community;

AND WHEREAS Seniors Month provides an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the valuable role that seniors play in strengthening families, neighbourhoods, volunteer organizations, and local institutions;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Cochrane wishes to encourage residents to recognize and honour the achievements and ongoing contributions of seniors throughout the municipality;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Cochrane hereby proclaims the month of June as “Seniors Month” in the Town of Cochrane.

AND THAT Council encourages residents, community organizations, and local businesses to recognize and celebrate seniors and their contributions to the community throughout the month of June.
