UPDATED NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

The roundabout on 3rd Avenue will be pulverized and paved to maintain a quality level of service to residents. There will also be some subgrade excavation to repair the issues at the tracks.

Starting on Thursday, September 25, 2025, there will be single lane closures in the roundabout with flaggers who will direct traffic during the road prep work. Then, on Friday, September 26, 2025, the roundabout will be temporarily closed to all traffic while the road restoration work and paving begins. During this time no traffic will be able to cross the tracks and all traffic will need to detour onto Western Avenue and 5th Street to get around. This temporary full closure is expected to be in place until Friday night, at which point the roundabout is expected to reopen.

Then, on Monday, September 29, 2025, the full closure and detour will be back in full effect as the road restoration work and paving is completed. It is anticipated to be reopened and completed Monday night.

Please be advised that access to the roundabout from Second Avenue will also be disrupted/closed on the days listed above. Open to local traffic only.
