Job Summary

The Town of Cochrane is currently seeking a highly skilled individual, an Early Childhood Educator, to join the team in Cochrane, Ontario. The successful individual will plan and implement the Child Care program following the philosophy, program statement, and guidelines established by the Centre.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum two years Early Childhood Education Diploma or degree as approved by a director from the Ministry of Education.
  • Must be a Registered Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Have strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with How Does Learning Happen?, ELECT, and the Child Care and Early Years Act.
  • Up to date CPR and First Aid, Police Reference Check.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written English and French communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, community agencies, and the public.
